Take a backup of your current controller in Settings > Maintenance. (There are subtitles available under the YouTube gear icon) 1. At least you can watch this 10 minute video to see the whole procedure including transferring your current controller: With a new account you will get credit for the first year. None of this will cost a dime to try out. Without sufficient entropy available rebooting the server may take 30 minutes or more.

That means you will need to use the full URL, but your browser should already know it. Log in to the VM and type sudo systemctl stop lighttpd and sudo systemctl disable lighttpd. If Google has charged you for egress traffic to some remote areas of the globe, you can stop Lighttpd as a fix. Apparently Premium is on the free offer and Standard is not! If you are still being charged for egress traffic, check your network tier. It is finally solved ! Basically you just need to stop and start your VM. If you are getting a certificate error then see Fix GCP UniFi Controller certificate. The only way I seem to be able access Unifi now is if I access HA using its IP address and port with the ‘http’ prefix, then I can get into Unifi.īase_url: ssl_certificate: /ssl/fullchain.Regarding the Log4j vulnerability: Your controller should automatically have upgraded to 6.5.54. I also amended the host name in Unifi to match the DNS address - no joy. I have actually tried both True and False with no success. Unifi is installed as an add-on to HA - So do I need to setup additional port forwarding to access my Unifi setup? Or is it a case of a config change in Unifi? I changed ssl from False, to True after installing DuckDNS: ssl: True OK so moving on to the issue, I can’t access my Unifi controller web UI when accessing HA through the secure DuckDNS domain. One of the deals with this setup is the fact that you use the DuckDNS domain to access your HA inside AND outside, so no more local.hassio etc., that’s fine (I feel I’m lamenting the local address, but I don’t know why… ).

But… from what I have read, that’s cool the DuckDNS add-on takes care of that for you, great! I setup DuckDNS and it’s working fine, most of the recent guides ( such as this one) don’t include anything that covers the Let’s Encrypt side of things.
